I’ve been thinking about the PT1911 Officer for awhile, and now I see a PT1911 special edition Officer Executive. I really like!

So the TH9C has the extended magazine with sleeve. Always liked that feature.

Wait a sec, am I missing something? The only .380 I see is the revolver; did they discontinue the Spectrum? Wow.

I only have Ruger 1911s and it's time I expanded my perspectives... So I can see the PT1911 USFLAG model in my future!

True, the Spectrum isn't in the catalog, but after perusing the Spectrum board I came to a conclusion. The Spectrum is a fine pistol. It appears that in the .380 pistol glut that the gun companies created the Spectrum may have had too stiff a competition. The Spectrum board here has had some traffic, but not a lot. There may be a lot more Spectrum owners out there than I think there are.

The CCW market has changed toward the double stack and single stack 9x19 pistols and "easy to rack" pistols in various calibers for the most part. Annnnd, Taurus may well have a new model .380 in the works.

Now. This is all mostly speculation, but I'm taking a somewhat edgy-cated guess at all this.

Oh yes. The Spectrum is still at the Taurus USA site. Just not in the catalog for 2020.

I just noticed the 617 is not in the 2020 Taurus catalog.
Maybe there will be some great prices on existing inventory!

They were built to yer specs . . . no front cocking serrations. The Gov't and Commander models have them.

noticed the 2020 lineup online has a considerable decrease in semiautomatics. looks like they're shifting focus back to revolvers.

Since some of the major ammo makers have made short barreled defense ammo for the ,22WRM there is good reason to buy a version in .22WRM. The ammo makers' rounds work well out of the less than 2" barreled NAA mini revolvers. No reason it will not work well out of a snub revolver with 2" barrel.
Oooooohh, .22WMR revolver! I have NAA mini-revolver and have become enamored with 22mag round. The 942 in 22mag is something I'll be very interested in.
