The body count is starting to come in now.
Hospitals across the area are reporting mass victims of choking on nothingburgers.
The media is keeping quite until they can determine who cooked up the burgers and severed them up. It shouldn't take long as the governors office has issued hammers and bleach bits to beat the bushes, lap tops and cell phones until answers are no longer found.

Tens of thousands of (well-)armed demonstrators arrived, protested peaceably about a topic they were passionate about, picked up their trash, and went home without incident.

Tell me again about how armed citizens are the problem?

On a side note, most of the pictures of Virginia legislators I've seen (albeit limited), have shown republican representatives out in the crowd and talking to the people, while most of the democrat representatives are shown looking out the windows of the capital building.

There's a message in that, somewhere.

We will continue to make our republic the inspiration, the glory, and the envy of the rest of the world. As long as we are confident in our values, loyal to our citizens, and faithful to our God, there is no limit to what we can achieve. President Donald J. Trump, Feb 29, 2020.

An armed society is a polite society. The un-polite look out the windows.

Didn't the Virginia governor or the state police issue an order stating that no one could show up at the rally with their faces hidden or masked (ala antifa)? Heard a report that only one woman did, was asked several times to remove the mask, refused, and was arrested. Wondering if she was arrested by the Virginia State Police who, in the photo I saw, were all wearing masks?

Seems to me if you substitute guns for masks you get a general idea of the Dems plan.

No masks is a state law. People everywhere has face masks on because of the temp. Yes, police had them too. Do as I say, not as I do, if you will.

Mind you the lady was arrested hours after the rally was over.

Likely not much. Can't really speak much more about it without getting too political. I imagine this post is on the verge of that point as it is.

The 'protest' was great, I made new friends and saw a lot of good things. But the end result won't be as positive as most had hoped.

I suppose you are correct. They will praise and publicize feedback that is in their favor and totally disregard what the people really want. Unfortunately, if nothing changes, we'll see a lot more of this socialist activity.

Maybe it will be more effective if they have another rally closer to November. In 2019 the turnout of registered voters was allegedly 40%. Maybe some of the 60% of registered voters in Virginia that didn't show up could show up this time.

I certainly hope you're right, and the Virginians have learned that you get the government you vote for (or don't vote against).

2020 is shaping up to be an incredibly dynamic election throughout the U.S.
