Which long arm for vacation in Colorado?

You're planning a one week driving vacation for the first week of October to Estes Park, Colorado. Which long arm(s) would you take with you, keeping in mind Colorado's leftist leanings and laws? No hunting, just self defense against boogie men and bad beasts, survival if it becomes necessary.

I included "Other - specify what & why in your post" because some of you are going to do that, anyway. Yeah, you're right I didn't join TA just yesterday. Besides, I might get some ideas for my next purchase!

I would take my Rossi lever action .454 and my Raging Bull .454. Neither of them are over mag capacity

I had to choose other, and here is why:

Remington 870 12 gauge: With 00 buck, is a great defensive weapon. With slugs, good at animal defense.
Lever action .30-.30: Great animal defender. Also decent for defense.
Henry .22LR: Got to have a little fun on the cheap every now and then, also good on small critters.

Now go and have some fun in Colorado before the leftists completely take it over!

Well, Colorado DOES honor Ga resident permits - which is a good thing for me as Ga only issues permits to residents and, well, you know. I would carry my Ruger Security Six in 357 Mag - should still be legal under Colorado’s mag limits, AR restrictions, etc. And I would take my Henry Lever in 357 Mag as I don’t own one in 30-30. That’s what the whole handgun/Carbine matching ammo thing is about.

I voted for the 30-30 lever action. I think that gun could protect you under just about all instances. The cowboy AR.
