Referring to the little darlins as teens is bs. Age wise, yes, but nearly all 15 / 16 year old black kids are full size, and when they put on their mask (or hoodie) they are no longer "teens". They're thugs, criminals, and gang bangers - you can't safely tell the difference. But they're gone, which is good.

The TV news story of the incident here is accidentally hilarious. Also, apparently the homeowner used an 'assault rifle' according to one of the witnesses. I wonder why that detail was left out of the other articles?

actually I trust grown men a lot more than I do teenagers.
I guess I am biased (or experienced) from seeing the younger crowd in the hood doing 95% of the crime and preying on old, feeble and sick people that lived there.

This sounds like one we discussed some months back now that an MSR is being implicated.

Perhaps some in the news media want to maintain the false narrative that semi automatic rifles are not needed for self or home defense, and only want the words "assault rifle" mentioned whenever someone does a mass shooting with one.

In my area a local news organization interviewed an LEO and law enforcement firearms instructor asking him to comment on the AR pattern rifles for civilians for home defense, and how a shotgun would be better. He told them, no, in his professional opinion the AR rifle with the proper ammo was a better choice for home defense for most people, IF they were going to use a long gun or shoulder fired weapon. He then went on to explain his reasons why. They never used his interview, but did quote some non LEO guy from an anti gun group that "assault weapons" were only good for murdering people, and the law abiding citizen didn't need one.

Ammo will get you through times of no money, better than money will get you through times of no ammo.

yea I gots a 12 gauge scattergun, but decided to go with this, of course one of our well known enablers assisted my decision.
its a AR in 300 Black out that I load with sub sonic 208 or 220 grain ammo. and yes it holds 30 rounds , but mostly cause I am a terrible shot.
in the interest of being a more sensitive, kind, peaceful person however I did convert it to a single shot as opposed to a semi auto!
figured this might be a better choice with firing it inside a house as for muzzle flash and noise.
although I have no qualms about the ability of a shotgun either.
a red dot rides atop of it.

Here's the latest. Over 300 came together for a vigil of the 3 dead. The show is just getting started.

I read another article where the homeowner has yet to be identified. Of course he's been identified as well as the others gathered on his property during the shooting. But I can understand why his name or the others aren't being released. I'll bet you can also.

I'm still predicting Al Sharpton will be riding in on his Palomino any day now.
