I think it is worth taking note of what has happened in Kalifornia with the requirement for a background check to buy ammo. Don't even IMAGINE it can't happen in your state. I think that whatever your minimum stock is, at least quadruple it.

When we really get down to the nuts and bolts of this stuff so much depends on the STATE Government and leadership, not so much the FEDS!
thats why I always remind fellow Georgians, Henry countians to get ur rump to the polls and vote in these elections.
I mean we came l - l this close to getting Stacy Abrams as a Governor, need I say anything further?

Always remember, all elections occur on a local level, and the integrity of election officials is most critical at the polling locations.

I picked up a box of .45's at Wal-Mart last night, and I had to show my drivers license. The clerk typed my DL# into the computer/register, and so on.
Where will it stop? It will stop with banning ammo, whenever the Democrats gain enough power. That is my take on things.

It is up to all of us to educate our younger generations about simple world history of failed forms of supreme govt. control and how every such supreme govt. came to power by banning firearms and ammo to the general public.

The scary part is, this should have been taught in public schools to everyone of them. It happened so gradually that even a lot of teachers didn't see it.

I was in the Gun Business when we had to log out every single box of Pistol ammo and check for age , it was a real pain for sure.
and honestly I see no way that helped with anything as to safety or control?
I don't remember exactly but I do believe this was a Federal law and not State?

In this day and age it seems like there is always something that will cause a run on guns or ammo. I just try to keep enough so I don't have to panic buy.

I just try to keep enough in stock that when I finally starve to death and they shovel the hot brass away to check my pulse, I still had enough ammo for 2 weeks.

Well that was BEFORE the boat accident.

The last time I bought ammo was at a gun store, and they didn't even ask to see my ID. Had I looked like I might've been under 18 they probably would have, and logged it also. While it might be a requirement to not sell ammo to someone underage I don't think it has to be logged with every sale like a firearms sale, at least under federal law. I know I didn't have to when I was a dealer, but that was a long time ago. Most retailers however probably do that to cover their posterior, to avoid the accusation of something improper.

I don't understand the "run on ammo" scenario.
If you don't always have more ammo on hand than you think you will ever need you really aren't serious about it.
