Watching her in the video and she certainly doesn't seem too concerned. Like what's the big deal!

Where do they get a stupid charge like "Misdemeanor" negligent HOMICIDE?

It really is a fact that there are cultures and groups of people in this wide world for whom death has not the same importance and meaning as it does to most /Americans.

Life is cheap in some parts of the world. It is possible that the defendant is one of those folk.
You must be careful what you pretend to be, because in the end, you are what you pretend to be.

All governments suffer a recurring problem: Power attracts pathological personalities. It is not that power corrupts but that it is magnetic to the corruptible. Such people have a tendency to become drunk on violence, a condition to which they are quickly addicted. . . . . . . . . . . . .. — Frank Herbert, Chapterhouse: Dune

Even sadder is the fact that life is becoming increasingly cheap in America too...

Negligent homicide is only a First Degree misdemeanor - NOT a felony level crime. Doesn’t speak English and grabs at thing - a losing scenario all the way around.

With over 200 million firearms in private possession, in addition to a collective ammo round count of over a trillion rounds, it should be obvious that we in the firearm community and culture are NOT the problem!

I like the part where the 911 caller says, "I think it was an accident." There must have been some bad blood for this comment to have been said at all.
Battle of Wanat: 10 years ago last 13 July, 1LT Brostram was killed in combat killing the last enemy combatant in the outpost. The LT went to the point of decision and made the difference that turned the tide of the battle. The original investigation found the Bde Cmdr, the Bn Cmdr and the Co Cmdr at fault for dereliction of duty. If you want to see what a sarcastic silver star citation reads like, pull up the company commander's silver star.
