Remember, to some folks, a hundred rounds is a stockpile.

That not enough to justify a trip to the range!

Sure glad I do not reside in Kommiefornia, made a run to my local Academy store this morning to look for pool floats just happened by the gun area and they had Remington Mil Spec 9mm 115g ammo on sale for $7.99 for box of 50 I asked the counterman is there a limit he said no so I loaded up 30 boxes will make good range ammo for plinking. If I had been in Cali I would be reported for trying to stockpile enough to start a war and jailed.

Okay, so registration, ID, cross check against guns, etc. But, is carrying concealed ammo against the law? If you buy the stuff, will you have to have a belt with the good old-fashioned bullet loops in it? Will you have to remove it from the box and carry it in a clear zip-loc back? Crazy, crazy, crazy!

A friend and his family have been out there since 2010. It turns out that, yes he made great money, but cost of living and taxes put him behind the 8-ball. In August, he'll be back in Ohio moving back to live on his Grandparent former farm. He's darn glad he didn't sell the farm, but a realtor is crying as she was getting a great commission for handling the rental of the farm house.

A friend of a friend on Facebook reported that his LGS had two pallets of mixed calibers in CA that were all gone in a few hours.

It's good to see that some of these small gun stores can make a windfall. However, it's gonna dry up real fast, so hopefully they plan accordingly.

Is that like bread crumbs so you can find your way home?

It's California. Nothing that happens there will ever affect or apply to me ... hopefully. I used to love visiting the State but haven't been there in over 20 years and have no intentions of ever returning.

I've been through 2 or 3 ammo shortages including the last, great .22LR famine. None of them affected me unduly. I keep a stash and replenish what I shoot. I'm happy with my stock and another shortage will go relatively unnoticed.
