Buying a used rifle, maybe any Marlin rifle fans here?

I have the opportunity to buy an old Marlin 25 bolt action rifle that has one magazine. I'm going to check it all over, clean it and then test it out before buying it for $60.00 USD.

Do any of you guys have one of those?

Not sure about that model, but any rifle for $60 is a good deal. I don't think you can go wrong!

I have a Marlin 336 but have not owned a Model 25. $60 for a bolt action .22 sounds like a no brainer unless you see rust, pitting, damage, etc.

I found this thread that may be of help https://www.gunvaluesboard.com/what-...-28998832.html

I've got a model 25 that I got for Christmas when I was 12, I'm 51 now. I'd bet it's got close to 15000 rounds through it and never had a single issue. $60 is an absolute steal.

I had the glenfield version of the Marlin 25. It was dead nuts accurate to 100 yards (and probably beyond). I could stack 5 out of 7 rounds into a quarter sized circle at 100 yards using whatever ammo was available. for 60 bucks, I'd buy it as long as the bore is clean.
