    Who Has a C & R?

I went through a C & R phase (German, Russian, British, etc. etc.) but let my license expire in 2013. Now that I am retired I am toying with getting my C & R again.

Who has one and how valuable do you find having one today in this age of AR's and 9mm carry pistols?

I have one. I made one purchase with it so I broke even so far. If you like the old stuff it can save you some money and the convenience of being delivered to your door.

I am tempted to obtain one since I bought my CZ 83. A CZ 50 could be in my future.

Qualified firearms are long guns/hand guns which have been discontinued for twenty (?) years. No need to use/pay an FFL. I wonder how the waiting period is handled...also can a C & R ship qualified handguns via USPS like an FFL can?

Seems like we used to have quite a few members here with a C&R FFL. Not sure about now. I know BigSkiff had one, not sure if he still does.

I renewed mine last year. You never know when you'll come across that diamond in the rough that you can get delivered directly to your door. Having said that, in the last four years, I've only bought two rifles and a pistol with it. The directly to my door part being my biggest attraction.

I have one. I got it because I like fooling with old revolvers. You can get them on Gunbroker really cheap so it seemed a shame to add an FFL fee to that. They're really cheap to get, just a very long wait.
