There generally are no kids in my house unless my Godson is staying with us. If I'm awake at least one loaded gun is always with me. I'm sitting at my desk right now and happen to have three on the desk, a Ruger LC9S, a S&W 649 and a Kahr K40, all loaded. At night I usually keep my Glock 19X on my nightstand and a 12 gauge Mossberg 590A1 Tactical alongside the bed frame.

I'm with Rickenbacker on this one. My CCW is my constant gun, car, bike, bed side, where ever gun. Of course, I have a deer rifle, a shotgun, etc. etc. but I keep it simple. If something goes bump in the night, I want to get my handgun into action ASAP, without thinking about the manual of arms for the thing. KISS

My EDC (PT145) is magnetically held on the side of my bed side table just inches away from my face. I sleep well with just a hint of Hopps #9 in the night air.

Yep, I keep my carry for the day in a crossdraw holster hanging from the bed post. I'll lock it in a safe if any kids are going to be here, but as I only have a grand daughter and she's 14 now, not a real worry. Right now, my TH9c is hanging there. I use that holster for my TC Contender while out back. I have the .410 barrel on it with choke for the occasional squirrel I might wanna pop. But, when it's hanging on the bed post, it holds my carry piece du jour.

FEG HiPower clone. I'd use the Rock Island double stack 1911 .45, but the HiPower has MUCH better sights - good three dot. The RIA has tiny little WWI milspec sights. Not much good at night.

I keep a Glock 19 next to the bed these days.

My Ruger LW Commander 1911 with CT lasergrips. When I travel, it travels with me and goes on the bedside table of wherever I’m staying.

Beware the man who only owns one gun, for he probably knows how to use it well.
