    Update on lawnmower shooting

Remember about two years ago when a neighbor spat erupted in gunfire? Here's a refresher:

Man on lawnmower had charge reduced to misdemeanor and was sentenced to time served.

So they shook hands and became best of friends.

C'mon, guys. They don't live in Disneyland.

I predict only one way for this one to end.

Am I reading that right? Guy waves his handgun in the air, neighbor shoots him in the chest and it's ruled self defense for the shooter?

Just went through the video news story. We don't hear if the shootee made verbal threats like...I am going to shoot your butt...when he displayed the firearm.

Seem pretty convenient that the shooter had a video camera running at the exact time of the incident. Weird angle also...was the Go Pro camera in the shooter's DOG?

Before a standing army can rule, the people must be disarmed; as they are in almost every kingdom in Europe. The supreme power in America cannot enforce unjust laws by the sword; because the whole body of the people are armed, and constitute a force superior to any band of regular troops that can be, on any pretense, raised in the United States. A military force, at the command of Congress, can execute no laws, but such as the people perceive to be just and constitutional; for they will possess the power, and jealousy will instantly inspire the inclination, to resist the execution of a law which appears to them unjust and oppressive. - Noah Webster

If he'd shot the lawn mower I would have demanded the death penalty.

Don't know I would wait to see if the man on the lawnmower was going to shoot or how well he can shoot.

Here's the original thread. There are links in the posts that give additional information on the history between the two. This wasn't their first rodeo.

Depends on the lawnmower......could be in line for a medal.

I'm still working on the man that got hit 4 times in the chest and got up and walked away. What was the other guy shooting?

That occurred to me also...that is one tough SOB. Makes me re-think calibers that don't start with a 4 and end with either a 4 or a 5. It sounds like he was hit center mass.

After backing up on the lawnmower the guy pulled out a gun and then extended his gun hand towards the firefighter. That would have been enough for me. Thank God he had the video on his side.
