^^^^^ Thanks. I'm an old fart and I don't text so I'm not up on all these abbreviations texters use. Texters tend to be quite provincial. They can't imagine that EVERYONE doesn't know the abbreviations they and their friends use in their messaging.

There was a guy where I work who threatened to use his carry gun (as indicated by slapping his pocket and saying 'I got it right here') against a coworker after they got into it one day. In a place where it's almost impossible to get fired, he did.

I guess threatening to use your carry weapon is a VERY effective way to terminate yourself.

You don't neccessarily HAVE TO HAVE a degree in elementary education to be stupid, but it might help some folk. It just might depend on which socialist indoctrination academy she went to.

I run into this almost daily communicating with my 17 year old daughter. I spend more time deciphering her posts than ought to be allowed.

I find that former military people, in general, are bad at using acronym jargon without explaining it when posting on forums. When I post, I use the rule to spell out the acronym first, then giving the acronym itself, like this: concealed handgun license (CHL). That way, when I use the acronym later, I've already educated the reader to its meaning.

Murdering someone isn't "using" a CHL.

I think it's pretty sad that folks need to be told that threatening others with physical violence using deadly weapons is a very bad idea, especially in the workplace.

Honestly, you'd think that a school teacher at the very least would know better given the prevalence of school shootings to avoid so much as talking about firearms, much less joking about shooting the principal.

I'd hate to seem harsh, but I honestly have no sympathy for her given her extreme carelessness and grossly inappropriate conduct. I don't care how abusive the principal was to her, it doesn't justify threatening his life, not even in jest. I had a boss who was absolutely awful to me once, but the most I ever did was suggest that my fellow employees who were being abused by him to report him to the corporate office, then once it got so bad that I started getting angry enough to even think about striking him I quit.

Her boss was a woman. Most of what I've seen with the #metoo movement isn't so much of a hostile work environment but sexual harassment.

That's true. In this particular case she brought it up herself though when making the comments.

I don't have any sympathy about how she reacted to it either. I might've had sympathy about the harassment itself if that's all the story had been about, and not about her reaction to it.

I'm amazed at the # of people who think things are actually private on facebook, etc, . A good general rule of thumb on anything online should be don't say anything you wouldn't say in front of a room of thousands of people, and with audio recording rolling. As far as a supervisor allegedly harassing her, isn't that what the teachers union is for?
