Thumbs up What is your .22 pistol?

I have noticed in a number of posts that it seems everyone enjoys shooting a .22 handgun (pistol and/or revolver).

I have more .22 handguns than any number of sane folks and I enjoy looking at and talking about what others shoot.

Is there any interest in a "show us your rimfire handguns" thread? Not which is better or worse, just enjoyment of the pictures shared. Maybe a picture and a note on what you use it for?

I hope there is enough interest to keep this going...

I don't have as many as I once did. My favorite is my MKIII 22/45 lite. For a thread protector, I use a Tandercross muzzle brake. Otherwise I'm running my suppressor. My next favorites are MKII 6-7/8 target and Government model. After them is my CZ Kadet. A Taurus 992 and a 1930 H&R .22 Special.

My only 22LR handgun is my MkII which I received waaaay baaack in ~ 1976.

Need new mags as all the aftermarket mags I bought were plastic and I left them fully loaded for ~ 25 years without shooting or unloading them. No springy action left in the springs. Even the OEM steel mags’ springs are weak and don’t feed reliably. I would buy a new generation MkIV before I would consider purchasing new mags for the MkII.

Don’t currently own a 22LR revolver and really no interest in one. I still live in the city where firearm discharge is verboten so I can’t just take a pot shot at a squirrel . . . . but, boy howdy, I would take the head off a copperhead with my 38 shotshell revolver and plead exigent circumstances!

Sigh, . . . . almost seems sad as I grew up surrounded by guns and was always given a 22 revolver to wear when our family would go “RAMBLIN” - AKA exploring old dilapidated former home sites way out in the country.

DH and I LOVE shooting 22's also! 22 short, long, lr, wrf and wmr in hand gun and long gun! Happy times enjoying the shooting sports and not spending a lot of money!

PS: No list for me tho' because I would be bound to leave a few out and then they (the left out 22's) would be offended and absolutely no one likes a surly 22!

Down to just a Heritage Rough Rider with the long barrel (6.5 inch). Might add a Ruger SR22 to the mix for an auto, and a Henry lever action for a rifle. That ought to keep me happy until the ammunition runs out.
