well ladder loaded some MORE 300 Blackout using the FS11 and the 240 grain BTHP Sierra match king projectiles!
    NO JOY IN MUDVILLE again.
shoots accurately but still will not lock the bolt open on the last round.
so i am about to make the determination that the new powder ACC FS11 really isn't any better or as good (in my ar pistol) as the Acc1680 and the 240 grain BTHP isn't that much different than the 220 grain BT solid tips as I will soon be at the same loading level as the first load .
which isn;t a bad thing as they worked great, just didn't expect this longer /heavier projectile and the supposedly great new powder would be the same?

Spent time with my son on the sporting clays course at Wateree Range in SC. We ran the course both Friday and Saturday. They've been closed all summer due to construction and just re-opened at the end of August.

T'was raining most of the morning and I sat on the front porch and shot swinging targets with my 10/22, then did some coke can killin' with my Mossberg Shockwave. Good entertainment for a rainy morning.

I went to the local indoor range with my friend and shot my new Heritage Rough Rider .22LR 6.5 inch single shot pistol that I recently purchased.

I was shooting Federal 36 grain copper clad HP that comes in the bulk 550 cartons.

It was flawless and shot to point of aim quite well. I do not think the sights need filed or bent or anything like some have done to tweak their sights. It shoots more accurate than I am capable of anyway.

The only thing that I would do to improve it would be to paint the front blade with either white or perhaps some of that paint that glows.

I think one of our supporting vendors here sells it and I intend to get some.

My buddy shot his Ruger EC9 and also rented a Sig 365. He tried the one with the "normal" sights and another one with this single green dot that seemed odd to me but it did shoot OK. I actually liked his Ruger better than the Sig and shot it just as well or better.

After we finished shooting, we ate in the attached BBQ Restaurant and I had a delicious lunch of pulled pork, grilled corn on the cob, white macaroni & Cheese, corn bread and sweet tea.

If you are ever in the Huntington WV area, I highly suggest stopping by https://bombshellsbbq.com/

I am not affiliated with the above restaurant in any way other than loving to go shoot and also getting my belly full!

Hit the range this morning and had a really enjoyable time. Took a couple of .22's, they are my rabbit rifles but, after 50 rounds through each, I got a little bored with the clover-leaf groups. They are stupidly accurate. I have a Zeiss scope on one rifle and a club member asked it I wanted to sell it to him. Told him he couldn't afford it..!!

Then came my SR1911... oh boy it's wonderful to shoot and the club targets, all 6" centers and shot at 25m, took a beating. It was warm, dry, sunny and quite busy. Turning target comp was real fun, even better that I came second.. today. Same time next Wednesday for more fun.

Spent about an hour and a half at the range this morning. Shot my H&R 939 9 shot .22 and my Bersa Thunder .380.

Shortly after I arrived a group of four arrived; two male adults and two teen-ish girls. The girls were cackling and laughing which made me pay special attention to what they were doing.

A little later a husband and wife arrived and took up station two places to my left. They were bickering and arguing the entire time about her hand placement, sight picture, elbows, etc. etc. At one point I heard her say "as long as I can hit someone if I have to,......". Not sure but I think she was shooting a full size .45 and she was clearly not comfortable. Most likely his gun and not hers.

I wanted to verify the zero on my Kimber Adirondack .308 and with the new loads I developed it's spot on. I also got to shoot my Sig P229 with the new .357 Sig barrel and my new Rock Island 1911A1 . It was a nice day for it and I came away with a new appreciation of all three guns.

I got out today after installing the TruGlo TFX sights on my CZ 75 Compact several days ago. Needed to tweak the adjustment of the rear sight, the front is a fixed, pinned blade. I had borrowed my BIL's cheapie NcStar tool that he said works better than his more expensive unit. Didn't have a sandbag so I worked off the shooting bench as best I could. Started at a close target and worked backwards. Still seems to be shooting low, but have the windage good I think.

Unusual for me, I didn't bring any long guns this trip. I had the Sig P320 and PT 1911 in 45 ACP. The Titegroup charge needs to be stepped down just a grain or two with the Brazos 230 grain coated RN.

Speaking of the Brazos boolits, I again had separation of a round which jammed the lead into the CZ barrel just past the chamber and fouled the works with powder. I will not be buying anymore of those for the 9mm.

“Historically, freedom is a rare and fragile thing . . . Freedom has cost the blood of millions in obscure places and in historic sites ranging from Gettysburg to the Gulag Archipelago . . .That something that cost so much in human lives should be surrendered piecemeal in exchange for visions and rhetoric seems grotesque. Freedom is not simply the right of intellectuals to circulate their merchandise. It is, above all, the right of ordinary people to find elbow room for themselves and a refuge from the rampaging presumptions of their ‘betters’.” Thomas Sowell
