Yeah baby, got out today after too long of a dry spell. Met up with kmw1954 in McHenry and brought out the Rossi '92 to loose some 38 Special/357 Magnum, the Ruger 10/22, Beretta 81BB, PT 111 G2 and the Kimber Micro 9. The last was the focus as I want to run it a lot before putting it in carry rotation. It did extremely well I am happy to report. My handloads on the Beretta need some attention still, the charge weights are varying a lot noticed by the recoil and some FTF. Also got some nose down feeding also. Between shooting my long guns and the Kimber I didn't even get the PT 111 G2 out of the bag. Fired some of KMW's test loads in his Witness 45 and his HK. A good time was had by all and a nice surprise was a chunk of 44 Magnum brass and 45-70 cases also. Now I might have to buy another lever gun...

Yes a good time was had just like every other time. What Czechbikr forgot to mention is that he also got to break in my new M&P Shield. At this time I am having just way too much fun with this 45acp Witness and cast bullets. The two loads I tested today are ones I have basically already developed with just a change of powder. This now makes loads with Accurate AA#2, AA#5, HP-38 and now Ramshot Silhouette. My goal being t replace the #5 with the Ramshot.

Ran the CZ PCR to check-out new LOK grips. They are the thin grip with matrix design with the orange accent and in-lay. The 10 ring shooting was relatively slow determined shooting while the upper chest was double taps. The fliers is the SA/DA trigger...very light single action handgun and I tend to get a little quick.

I love the regular old CZ Rubber grip, then i got a CZ-97 and CZ Shadow -2 that had the really thin Aluminum grip.
finally just figured out that the CZ just fit me and my hand no matter what grip is on them!--LOL
I might try carving out an old brick to fit one and see if it makes the CZ feel like a Glock in my hand!--GriiiN>

well my weekly pilgrimage to the Range had me being accompanied by my evil Black Rif--ahh Pistol!
the AR 300 Blackout, lights out shooter at 25 yards with the red dot/laser as usual --She ate up 100 rounds of 220 grain sub sonic ammo..
ran into two newbie guys (to the range not to shooting) that also brought their full sized AR-15's in 300 Blackout, one with an evil Supressor!
they were shooting factory new super sonic Federal, let them run 10 rounds of my Sub Sonics through the suppressed one, man did they love that!
then they asked as i was picking up my brass that wonderful question that all re-loaders want to hear--do you want our brass??
heck yea!-- got an extra 123 brass cases of once fired federal brass for the 300 blackout!
some of it was really dirty from the suppressed one but the tumbler is taking care of that as we type and read!
already swaged the primer pockets, and once clean will trim the cases that are needed.

I like the OEM rubber grips, too, but they were just a tad too thick...absorb recoil very well, though.

The LOK grips allow me to better reach the trigger. Regardless, PCR is a nice shooter.

I did, I made to the outdoor range, put some rounds through my Begara B14, 6.5 Creedmoor. That rifle is a tack driver and a whole lot of fun to shoot, out to 400 yds. isn't even a challenge, I need to get to Thunder Valley Precision where they have targets from 200 yds. out to 1 mile. I needed to finish breaking in the barrel, get the right amount of copper build up in the bore, I will not scrub the copper out unless it builds up too much. Defeats the whole accuracy of the barrel running a brush through the bore and scrubbing it clean.

I took two rifles to the range today. A Tikka Superlite T3X in 6.5 Creedmoor and a Tikka Lite T3X in .30-06 with a Boyd's laminate stock. I picked both of these up last year and this is the first time to the range. The 6.5 Creedmoor proved to be a tackdriver using Hornady 143 gr. ELD-X ammo with many sub 1" groups at 100 yards. The .30-06 didn't do quite as good, but still managed 2" groups using factory Remington 150 gr. ammo. I have to try a few handloads combinations in the .30-06 to make it shine. The heat was on today and high humidity so I didn't stay too long. I also shot my Glock 29 using Blazer 180 gr FMJ ammo. It surely more accurate than I am and kept the steel targets jumping.
