Took my Browning Buck Mark, Kahr CM9, and TriStar S120 out for some exercise today. Shot them all at 10 yds. Very happy with the way I shot the Buck Mark and the S120, but that tiny little CM9 gets kinda wild at 10 yards. All the shots would have hurt a BG, but I'd like much tighter groups. Dang, guess I'll have to practice some more!

Took my 30 yr old daughter (and recent mother of our 12th grandchild) with me to the outdoor pistol range and rifle range. She is an experienced shooter

    We shot

    - the Governor .45acp/.45/.410
    - the SAR K2 .45acp
    - the Ruger full size 1911 .45acp
    - the Glock 44 .22lr
    - the S&W 15-22 .22lr
    - the PSA PA10 .308

Had a grand time and the range to ourselves (it was fabulous weather for Feb. --- 48 degrees)

Family time, range time ... A great combination

She really enjoyed shooting the AR10.... Her group of 10 shots (at 50 yds) can be seen in the picture (there are two .223 holes there too)

She's also a fan of the hammer fired 14+1 SAR K2 .45acp... It's a heavy all steel gun that is fun to shoot

Konyo312 played the enabler and gave me his 9mm AR pistol to shoot along with trying out his Canik tp9 SFX with the Vortex Venom integrated sight. Sweet guns all...thanks!. I may be searching for a 9mm upper and BCG now. I was surprised at the recoil of that sucker, it was probably similar to my 300 BLK with the 10" barrel.

kmw1954 had some new guns to shoot, with his full size Witness 45 ACP being one of my ATF!
Yes! Working on my enabler badge. LoL

Indeed we had a great time. After we finished shootin we stood around shootin the Phat and telling tall stories, lost track of time. Great group of guys and looking forward to a repeat.

Also was able to take the time and test fire those 45acp LSWC bullets I cast and found that neither the Witness or the XD Mod2 liked them. After just one mag in each I gave up. Wasn't going to fight it. So I spent all day yesterday researching the LSWC and the 45acp. What I read wasn't promising!

I find with the swc in non ramped barreled especially its all about the OAL and the crimp.
don't want that front edge of the case grabbing the feed ramp assembly.

well as we Georgia has had 4 inches of rain over night and they are predicting that much more through the day I think its a fine day to go visit the indoor range and shoot some paper bad guys myself!
Plus if we have a Tornado (which 3-4 has already set down) what could be a safer place to be than a concrete/ steel walled building with a steel plate covering the ceiling and a concrete floor to be in?

[yawn]......Yep, i shot some rounds off my back porch again today.....[yawn]
Been trying to work up some new loads for the .357maximum
My range is only 100yds now. I have been shooting so much handgun the last couple years
that the longer distance has grown up past that, but I will get out this spring with the
    grandkids and clear it again.
The .357max really needs 200-300yds at least....for good testing.
I also have a 23" barrel for .327fed that needs to stretch its legs.

My son and I went to the indoor range and shot at 50' (the only distance allowed)

We had the place to ourselves (our club permits members to use the range anytime between 8am-8pm, with no range officer on duty, after taking some training. Our doorcards control access)

He brought the birthday present I bought him yesterday- a gray H&K VP9 15+1 9mm. It's a great shooting gun. Nice ergos, trigger, reset, sight picture and easy target reacquisition. It's a full size gun... Came with all kinds of different size grip panels.

    I brought my Ruger SR1911 commander sized lightweight 9mm and my 15+1 S&W SD9VE 9mm

The VP9 came with three 15rd mags and tru-glow night sites.

A good time had by all.

Went to an outdoor range. Shot my Ruger SR45, about 150 rounds of reloads.
    Had fun!
