uh-huh, any handgun under 16 ounces is pretty darned light, especially IF you start talking 9 MM and up.
although I do have this alloy framed Hi-Point that---ahh never mind!

So I fired test loads from my Savage 7mm Rem Mag over my chronograph and worked out my new load with 160 Nosler Partition. Now, I need to load some up and accuracy test 'em. I made sure the whole road was awake. That thing is kinda loud.

    ME--ME--ME!!
took the old 10 MM Witness Elite Match and the new (kinda) Sig 365 out for a few --150 rounds through each.
did pretty well, dropped one round out into the 8 ring com high at 15 yards with the Sig, the Elite match shot lights out even out to 25 yards, lights out being everything in the 9-10 ring.
did have one failure to ignite with the Elite Match, second hammer drop and off she went, this gun has a super light mainspring but that the first no fire for it, might have had a slightly high primer?
    anyway good time.

I went with two of my friends today.

Shot my SAR B6c in 9mm, my AK47 as well as my Ruger SP101 .357 magnum.

I also got to shoot my friends Smith & Wesson AR15, his Smith & Wesson .357 Magnum, his Walther .22 LR, and his DB9 9mm. That DB9 is a stout shooting 9mm.

I also shot my other friends Ruger EC9.

We shot both regular targets and even shot the new steel course our range put up.

We had a really good day.

I did, I did. Shot 3 ar's in 3 calibers, .308, 223, 450 bushmaster. Way too windy for any real accuracy, but the new bushmaster with the BCA side charging upper worked great!

    Me-Me-me!!!
took my lil lightweight Springfield Amory alloy frame officer model and 200 rounds of booletts.
the darned thing did real good, specially seeing as its been a bit since I shot it.
the real reason for the range trip was my neighbor /buddy that Bought the Jimenez got it back from the factory being repaired.
it had about a 7 out of 100 round failure rate to either fire, chamber or eject,
a big improvement over the 1 in 6 or 7 failure rate when it was new.
He is improving a little with his Ruger SR-22 though, still a long way off and a lot more instruction/practice for him though.

I fired 10 rounds getting my 7 mag sighted in with my new handload. I sighted it 2.5" high at 100 yards, should put it dead on at 250. The load is a 160 grain Nosler partition pushing about 2950 fps....elk medicine.

I did this morning. My son and I put 48 rounds through the PT1911, 39 through the PT609, 36 through the model 82, 71 through the CZ Rami, 138 through the Tri Star T120, 45 through the M&P 2.0 compact, 152 through the M&P full size 9mm, 100 each through two different ARs, a box of 12 ga. and a box of 20 ga. through pump shotguns, and 400 rounds of 22LR through a pair of M&P 15-22s. Quite a variety. Sadly the older of the 15-22s broke another firing pin. Have to call S&W Monday to get a new one on the way again. It seems to break a firing pin every 10,000 rounds or so.

Dang, I just added that up. That's a lot of lead downrange - 1179 rounds total in one morning.

that's a whole bunch of rounds!
I fired 150 45 acp through my lil lightweight 1911 officer model today and honestly when my neighbor asked --hey are you about ready to leave ??
I was kind of glad to be honest.
