Both of these deals were fantastic values!!

If there was a companion thread titled, "Have you sold anything gun related in the last forty eight hours?" and the time period was extended beyond 48 hours, I'd have a laundry list of things to post. About two months ago, I ran into a bit of bad luck, financially-speaking, that forced me to liquidate all but my PT709. This is also the reason why I've not been back on here until now. This is also why I'm in the process of trying to rebuild my arsenal (limited as it might be) with whatever I can afford. The two items at the top of my list are a full-size pistol and an AR-15. Selling that AR was pretty painful but the profit I made from the sale (~$500) helped to offset the grief.

In fact, I made a decent profit from all of the guns I put up on auction except for one - my PT111 G2 which went for the lowest price I've ever seen on Gunbroker for a PT111 in the same condition, having both 12-round magazines and in the original box with all of the paperwork. I subsequently learned that auctions ending late on weekends bring in the highest bids while those ending early on weekdays bring in the lowest. All of my auctions, except for the PT111, were scheduled to start on a Monday and run for six days so that they would end no later than Sunday. The mistake I made on my PT111 auction was scheduling it to run for three days instead of six.

If I get lucky on a few auctions I'm watching over the next 48 hours, I'll be back on here to post my purchases. Of course, I will also be checking the classifieds here as well as my inbox for any relevant leads.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday (and 4th of July) and didn't overdo the eating or the buying on Black Friday. I confess that I did both. The wife got a great deal on a big screen UHD TV and I got a great sound system to go with it. However, unless it can fire 5.56 rounds, the subwoofer will just have to wait a little longer.

Heck of a buy, I bought one of their complete uppers in 450 Bushmaster for just a little bit more than that and it is a great piece, you will not be disappointed.

Good to see you back. The market for Modern Sporting Rifles has rarely been better regarding supply exceeding demand so you should do well on the new acquisition. Taurus1965's buy just announced here bears that out.

Oh..and you don't need a reason to come on and post...I do it often!

Thanks. Chomping at the bit for a chance to shoot it. Being that it is a Christmas gift I am going to wait till after Christmas. Just received my dedicated 7 round magazine for it. Still waiting on the Holosun red dot and 60 rounds of very expensive ammo.

Got a line on a FN FiveseveN still riding a Black Friday price of ~ $xxxx. This is only the second one I've ever seen "live" in a store. Price isn't a deal killer but I still just cannot personally justify the purchase. I've thought about making an initial offer several hundred less and seeing if they are willing to deal. I do recall how much I kicked myself over letting the last Browning Hi Power leave the shelf of one of our LGSs. I never really cared for them but they will likely become quite collectible over time.

As to the FN, I've not sat around salivating over getting one and never thought twice about one till I ran across this one. So, like I said, money isn't an issue but practicality over time certainly is. I rarely get around to shooting all my current guns as it is. So, to the membership:

    BOUGHT IT. SEE "Other Handguns".

Last of the handgun ammo at one local Walmart, 2 boxes of 38 special+P JHP and 1 Tula 380. Walmart cut handgun ammo price in half and I missed it. Bought a Hatfield 12 guage also, the H&R 12s I found where crazy priced. Walmart I guess is officially out of the handgun ammo business now or soon when sold out.
