I’m kinda wondering when they will begin including them with the purchase of the rifle like they do with the 10/22.

OK, I talked myself into purchasing a small poly drum cement mixer from Northern yesterday and put it together today. Ordered the stainless steel media from Southern Shine today.

Also ordered a Ruger BX trigger for my 10/22 build, which is still shaping up. But hey, whatever it is it will need a trigger, right? Brownells has a barreled receiver for $125 that looks tempting too.

Battle of Wanat: 10 years ago last 13 July, 1LT Brostram was killed in combat killing the last enemy combatant in the outpost. The LT went to the point of decision and made the difference that turned the tide of the battle. The original investigation found the Bde Cmdr, the Bn Cmdr and the Co Cmdr at fault for dereliction of duty. If you want to see what a sarcastic silver star citation reads like, pull up the company commander's silver star.

A few months ago I saw a S&W 27-2 in nickel at my LGS. It looked GREAT! I left without it, but within a couple of hours I called them to hold it for me till I could get there. When I arrived, I checked the bore...the only thing I hadn't checked before, naturally...and there was a large 'scab' in it. Ugh. About 3/4 to 1 inch long. I loved the gun, but I just couldn't do it.

Shortly after, I saw that there was a 6" nickel model 19 at J&G sales in excellent condition, and I got that... but I never forgot the model 27, which was really what I wanted.

Fast forward a few months, I went on Gunbroker and saw my dream gun - nickel 27-2 in pristine condition. I tend to think that there are so many guns on Gunbroker that many get lost in the mix. I was the only bidder on this beauty, but I'm not complaining! And I got a very good price! I've put the Model 19 up for sale at my LGS.

I've two used 627 Tracker cylinders, and a complete set of insides coming for a winter project!

One cylinder will be modified for .357/.38 moon clips, and still work without as normal. Most likely I'll use TK custom's moon clips and do all the machining work myself.
