Battle of Wanat: 10 years ago last 13 July, 1LT Brostram was killed in combat killing the last enemy combatant in the outpost. The LT went to the point of decision and made the difference that turned the tide of the battle. The original investigation found the Bde Cmdr, the Bn Cmdr and the Co Cmdr at fault for dereliction of duty. NO--Darn it!
I did see a Bersa Thunder Executive in 380 new for sale at 249.00 however.
I only got 2 of them and have a soft heart for the gun so it kinda , sorta was saying please take me home.
all are truly reliable, accurate 250 buck guns that I have owned!
The Executive is basically the exact same as the regular Thunder except for what appears to be a few brushed stainless parts (could be electroless nickle?) to nicely dress it up.

Personally I like the combat versions for their excellent sights. I have two of their Thunder .380 Plus pistols and one of their Thunder .380s. As you say, all are reliable given the right ammo. I like the Corbon 90gr. JHP in these pistols.

Ordered a PSA 9mm pistol upper and a lower that uses Glock magazines. It should make for a nice carry piece!

Received a new sling today. For my evil rifle. This guy makes good slings in Kansas, USA, and I now have two of them. He is easy to deal with and will make custom slings as well. He also makes belts. I go for KISS principle on gun stuff and slings are one of those things. I ordered a olive drab, without swivels. I use one of his slings on my 223 bolt gun and it is handy. Very reasonable priced IMO.
