Purchased a G2C from another user here who had won it (not sure how, raffle maybe) and who did not need it in his collection. NIB with chamber flag still in place. $155 shipped to my FFL. Easy transaction and very easy to work with another Forum member. This will be a gift to my wife on our 26th anniversary. That, and a new blender of course.

^^ Not that you needed something to remember him by, but it speaks loudly for his character and the type of friend that he has been.

Pretty sure you're going to love that gun. Mine in 45 ACP is a constant companion. I put a Hogue Beavertail grip on mine and it is perfect!

The rest of the new AR is done and it tips the scales at a fairly light 5 pounds, 12 ounces empty. I've also decided on an optic, so I've got a Sig Romeo 6H (circle-plex reticle) on the way:

Ordered a G23 slide from Rock Slide USA, should be here Friday that should complete all of my Polymer80 frames. After that I think I will take my new found stippling skills and do something about my old Glock G23 and those useless finger groves.

Battle of Wanat: 10 years ago last 13 July, 1LT Brostram was killed in combat killing the last enemy combatant in the outpost. The LT went to the point of decision and made the difference that turned the tide of the battle. The original investigation found the Bde Cmdr, the Bn Cmdr and the Co Cmdr at fault for dereliction of duty. If you want to see what a sarcastic silver star citation reads like, pull up the company commander's silver star.
