Walmart score. Is it any good?

Scored a brick of .22lr at Walmart today. Haven't seen a brick on the shelf in YEARS. Had to buy it. $50.95 for 1000 rounds. Is Winchester m22 any good? Think it will run in semi auto pistols? Name: image.jpg

Watch out for ricochets...but 50 bucks/1000 sounds like a deal to me. Looks like standard velocity. (I'm not sure what hi velocity is in fps.) If I was there I would sell my neighbor's wife for 1000 rds.

It depends on the pistol, barrel length, type of slide it uses... a hammer fired gun takes more to cycle than hammerless models.

    Either way a good deal.

    hope it works for you.
Out of some five 22 pistols an four 22 rifles I have more,(Way More) problems from Winchester bulk than any other brand.
I avoid it like the Plaque but your guns may love It.

That is a good price on most any .22lr these days. I have never shot any of that particular ammo.

That's Hi-Velocity 40 gn ammo and should run fine any any gun.

The M-22 ammo was "designed" and packaged for use with AR-15's chambered in 22 LR. I think it was unplated Super-X ammo if I remember right.

They aren't plated but instead have a black polymer coating. I haven't ever fired any of them, but understand they are very good, and at $.05 per round, you did very good.

You got a good price on decent .22 ammo. Regular price on them online is $99 with sale prices of $79. They are standard velocity (1255 fps) and will run semi auto pistols and rifles.

    Enjoy your find....

Standard velocity ammo is usually 1050 to 1070 fps. High velocity is over 1200 fps. All subsonic is usually 45 gn or more not 40.
