    Gun Range Madness

Well I went to my local indoor range this morning. I got there 5 minutes after opening. This is my Saturday routine. Usually I get there just after those guys who have been sitting in the parking lot. When I get there, I can walk right in and get a lane...

NOT TODAY! When I got there, they had a waiting list started. I had to wait 30 minutes before I could get on a lane.
And when I left, the place was packed with maybe 20 people waiting..

Crazy, but who only shoots for 30 minutes or less? Well I guess I have when I was testing reloads, glad I have a membership to the outdoor range.

The 2nd amendment is not about hunting or shooting sports, it is about the citizens of this country having the means to protect themselves and the states from the tyranny, oppression, and misery of an over powering government. Modern rifles are a means for the citizens to stand up to an over powering government.

I only go M-F to my LGS range just because of the above. Benefit of being retired I guess.

With the riots in Charlotte last week, pretty close to home for you, Gun sales skyrocketed. I'm quite sure that a lot of your neighbors are now first time Gun owners. It'll settle down in a couple of weeks. Or, at least until the next riot.

I don't even bother with the indoor range during the weekend.

I also avoid the range on the weekends. Not only is our range busy, but two more indoor ranges have either recently opened, or is opening soon. We also have a new gun store, and it's a good one. Business is booming!

I don't recall ever being to my range on a weekend?
I am a member as well so IF a waiting list/line then members go to the front of that list / line anyway.

I too only go to the range during the week and let the people who can only go on the weekends have it. But it's been so long since I've been I hope I can find my way back. I have several new rounds loaded up some with powder I've used before and some with new powder that I'm just starting off with. I can't wait to try the HS-6 I bought couple months back I've loaded some 9mm and 40 cal plus I bought a .357 9mm sized and would like to see how that works out. Maybe next week I can get my sister in law to come set with my wife while I have a range day.

Outdoor range for me at the sportsman club. Most of the time I can have the place to myself except for mid October through the end of November. Everyone has to get out there with their hunting rifles and make sure they're spot on. I love the winter when I can snow shoe in and have the place to myself. The kids and I can spend a few hours shooting skeet, pinging the gongs, and shooting miscellaneous targets at our leisure.
