And of course, then there's the process of trying to get your lawfully owned property back from the Fed's which could take several years.

It happens. I was in line getting on the cruise ship when I noticed I hadn't left it in the car. Running to catch the bus back to the car my Ruger 9mm fell out on the pavement. Picked it up and put it back in the holster. I kept waiting for the screams of the Pod People but nobody noticed a thing.

Ok I understand forgetting a nail file but what kind of fool forgets to put his gun into a locked box in your checked baggage.
I am against most limits on our 2nd am. rights, but maybe those who come from the shallow end of the gene pool should be limited.

this might be a contributing factor for the record high gun sales, the tsa keeps taking peoples guns and they have to get them replaced.

Maybe we should set up a ffl shipping station in airports that people can ship their gun to a gun store near them when they do things like this. Or a version of the armored truck one where guns are stored while the person is flying and they can be picked up when they return

Remember when airport walls were covered with these locking lockers?

A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

The 2nd amendment is not about hunting or shooting sports, it is about the citizens of this country having the means to protect themselves and the states from the tyranny, oppression, and misery of an over powering government. Modern rifles are a means for the citizens to stand up to an over powering government.
