Steel ranged from 1/4 - 1" thickness. We threw a lot of rifle and pistol ammo (500 mag) at it to see what would come of it - details will follow. Much fun and much learned!!

Think that you're safe behind a 3/4" or 1" steel wall - details at -11!!!

Not as many as I hoped would make it with warmer weather, but it sounds like what you lacked in quantity, you made up for in quality...although they all have been quality crews.

I have a little window open that I may make some of the Black Hills meet, if I can convince two other couples for the weekend after labor day and to put in an afternoon appearance and have to be a tea totaler because they are church friends, probably complaining that they were with church friends. Probably let their hair down a little when they aren't around church friends, although my wife is pretty strict, except when she is driving.

I wonder how many members this was the third Sand Lake Meet to attend? Of course PH and TH, Elwood, Wino, Carawine, did Kruiser make it? I think it was the second Sand Lake meet for William. Anyone make their first trip to Sand Lake?

Everyone have a good time, eat good, drink good....and I know, there had to be a lot of good laughs and a few absent members ears burning.

Kruiser's back was out but he did put in a Skype appearance so he was there in spirit. Wino skipped last year but this was CJS3's threepeat.

Had a great time like always. It's like Christmas with presents and everything. I got a Beretta 92 Alien Gear OWB holster, a Beretta mag, a Taurus T Shirt, and a Taurus Catalog with all the new stuff in it. It's better than Christmas. Christmas with guns.

So sad to have been unable to attend. I guess there is always next year!

I haven't been on my computer in 5 hours short of 2 days! Checking TA on my tablet doesn't count. [This is a rarity and very odd that I'm away from my desktop for this long.]

My friend went home a little bit ago. Just like me and atcroft, he had a great time and enjoyed you guys' company.

Thank you Texheim and PurpleHouse for hosting us crazy people at your lovely cabin.

Thank you to whoever donated the dry box thingy and pocket holster, which I won in the door prize drawings.

Thank you to Taurus for the t-shirt.

My complements to the excellent chefs who prepared Saturday's food.

I've got a ton of stuff to clean up and put away. Gotta get all the firearms back to their usual posts.

Texheim, make sure to eat those cookies before they mold. They're also good with a bit of whipped cream on top.

Just got back home and got the van unloaded. Now I get to sort through everything, put stuff away and start cleaning guns. Our heartfelt thanks to Austin and Amy for their gracious hosting of this now yearly event. Everyone that we met up with were fantastic people and we really enjoyed the camaraderie. We have a very special group of people here and I'm honored to be part of it. I will be nursing my tendonitis for the next 2 or so months from all the shooting but as they say; this too shall pass.

I'm also grateful and somewhat relieved that y'all enjoyed Saturday's dinner. Though the flavor was there, I didn't get it smoked as long as I wanted. Maybe next time I wont try to do 40-45 lbs of meat in 1/2 a day.

Thanks to everyone who was able to make it an event to remember,

    Signed,
    the Tannerite intimidator.
