Ever Owned a gun you HATED?!!

My first hand gun I ever bought was when I turned 21, it was a S&W SVE 40. It was cheap and I had learned to shoot on my Grandpas 9mm S&W. Well to make a long storie short the gun shot for crap. I traded it in (with some extra $) on my first Taurus. By far the best decision I ever made. But still the experience has kinda swayed my liking away from any 40 cal. Maybe I'll get over that someday. So i was wondering if any one out there has ever had an experience like this. Thanks and happy shootting!

Had a cheap lil .380. No idea even what brand it was. But if you were more than about 20 foot from the target your chances of hitting said target were incredibly low. That thing fired about 3 foot to the left at that distance already. And it ranged the shots up and down even in a rest. You could lock it in a rest, hit the center on the first shot, the next one would hit the very top of the target and the next the very bottom. And that was at about 10 foot.

Didn't sweat it much when the ex stole it during the divorce. I knew she would pawn it for drinking money and she did. Hell if she was ever attacked all she has to do is roll over on 'em!

LOL! I've shot a Bersa 380 it wasn't quite that bad, but it definately wasn't a long distance gun. not to mention all of the safeties. couldn't see carrying that one. it would take two minutes just to unlock it. by that time I would have already been robbed! either that or just throw the bersa at them!

i had an INTRATEC tech 9 , the company is no longer in business. i bought it for 250.00 like 8-9 years ago. it was the 2nd gun i ever bought. i thought it looked cool. anyways it was pretty accurate, but jammed like crazy. feed problems and the spent casings would get cought up inside during ejection. i didnt really hate the gun, but it was worthless if you needed to protect yourself with it. i guess i hated spending 250.00 on a gun that only worked every few rounds or so.

Hi-Point .45 acp. I've got a S&W Sigma .40 on my hip right now. No, it's not the best gun I've ever owned, but it shoots well for me.

I'm a lefty. The mag would drop almost every time I pulled the trigger. The grip didn't fit my hand. I couldn't hit the broad side of a barn from the inside.
Beautiful gun. But I hated it. Traded it for a 1911.

A Winchester tube feed semi-auto .22LR rifle. It would jam two to three times for every tube full of .22's. It was new and under warranty so I took it to an authorized Winchester gunsmith to see if he could fix it. He couldn't. I was a teenager back then and had to work weeks to afford that gun. The day I sold it, it was a happy day.

My only other and LAST Winchester purchase was a Winchester Stainless Marine 12 gauge. I bought it to keep on our sailboat when we lived aboard in San Pedro, CA. I soon found out the only "stainless" metal was the barrel. The receiver was chromed and the salt air bubbled the chrome with rust under the bubbles. I still have the POS.

A 6.35mm Lilliput manufactured in 1926. My father brought it back from Germany after WWII. It has the original stocks and leather fold top holster. The little auto loader will slide bite you in a flash. The super snappy recoil combined with small grip size make it quite uncomfortable to fire. It has quite a semtimental value to dad, it was given to him by a Luftwaffe flight officer who worked for him in the post war occupation.

I never hated a gun....I had some I severely disliked...and the little crap revolver...an RG 22 I took a sledge hammer to was not out of hate, but out of respect for human life and limb....knowing if I smashed the barrel and cylinder, I might prevent someone from being injured when attempting to shoot it. This was in 1950 when I was 12 and paid $8.00 NIB and had the front sight fall off after three shots, the loading gate break off as I was pulling it out of my pocket, and noticed a crack in the cylinder before shooting a box of ammo out of it. I wasn't mad at the gun, just myself for buying it.
