Hot Deal - $179.99 Taurus 22 Small Frame .22 LR Pistol at Academy Sports

I decided to "lighten up" and still post about great deals that I see around the internet, on to the forum here.
Today, I went down and bought this for $179.99 Model: 22BSYN - Taurus 22 Small Frame .22 LR Pistol at Academy Sports.
They actually had some in stock.. which was amazing. Went I got there, there was a guy that was buying one of them.
One of the employees at the store said that these pistols go fast at the price that they are at.
Academy - Taurus 22 Small Frame .22 LR Pistol

I hope that helps someone out there.. this is certainly my Christmas present.

That is a good buy. I have always wanted 1 but a friend of mine had an older 1 and the trigger seemed to be very stiff, 20+ lbs it seemed. Are the new 1's any better?

I haven't shot it yet.. it's a Chirstmas present and my Wife and Daughter grabbed it and wrapped the box when I got home! LOL!
The trigger pull is suppose to be 7 lbs.. it is a really great deal and I am glad that I was able to snag one.

Those would, and probably do, make good hideout guns as a backup to duty or carry!

Copy that.. the nice thing that I like about the pistol.. is you can put 8 in the mag and then either rack the slide or you can press the side button and the barrel pops down so you can put a round in the barrel and then you don't have to rack the slide!
Some people compare it to a Beretta 21A Bobcat.

I've heard that they can be on the tough side to rack.. once I open up this Christmas, if I have the same issue I'll try to work on that issue. At least the barrel load feature bypasses the need.

Exactly, I tried a few time to rack it and said "heck to that" and just used the tilt up barrel

The more I look at it the less ugly it gets.
