    Wish you had bought a bigger. . . . .

    Range Bag???

So I'm looking her and there. This feature, that padding.
Website 'a' website 'b'. Even fleabay.

Right now I go to the range about twice a month with the misses and our two carry pieces.
Mine stays on my hip and only hers makes it into the bag.
So it doesn't seem that I need a 4 gun bag.
But I it's anything like a safe you should buy the biggest you can afford.

    Thoughts?????

My MidwayUSA bag serves me well in USPSA competition use as well as all general range use for handgun, rifle shotgun. Many features, well made, priced reasonably. Take a look here:

Kind of hate to admit it, but I don't own a "range bag". Not exactly sure what they are called, but it's one of those one shoulder back packs. That's what I use. Plenty of zippered pockets, no padding, but I carry them in a holster anyway. Room for four, ammo and ear muffs and a towel to wipe the ladies off. No other cleaning gear. I'll clean them when I get home. Why pay the range for "cleaning" time.

Bought one bigger than I need, but it has all the features I wanted. I normally only have two handguns in the bag (third in my back pocket), seven extra magazines, 300 to 400 rounds of ammo, two set of ears, targets, small cleaning kit. Plenty of room to spare and it is sturdy.

I have the same bag, it's massive. If you find you need a larger bag than that, you'll need one with wheels. Possibly a motor.

The key thing that makes a range bag different than, say, a duffel bag or something is the strength. Load an average bag up with a few hundred rounds and some pistols and all the accessories for a nice day shooting and you'll be lucky to make it there and back without the thing coming apart at the seams. Literally. Either you'll pick it up and just have a handful of handles or you'll lift the bag and leave the contents on the ground as they rip through the bottom.

The bag from Midway borders on being too big. It's not quite there, but I find I prefer not to haul it very far when it's fully loaded.

It's absolutely chock-full of compartments and magazine pockets and what have you. I believe I've found them all now, but considering I've had it for about a year now and I found a new compartment last week, I can't say I'm confident there aren't one or two places to put things I don't know about.

Heck, for all I know Narnia is in there somewhere.

I have the same bag. They are tough, roomy and relatively inexpensive.
Bought mine when my son and daughter were going to the range with me. I was carrying four or five pistols every trip, plus ammo, first-aid kit and targets and by the time I got that thing to the range I was plumb tuckered.
Finally solved the problem by buying a two-wheeler from Amazon.

Both of the bags mentioned seem to be on the larger side of the equation.
    I'm detecting a pattern.

The pro lem, with me at least, is if I have a bigger bag, it ends up weighing 87 lbs when I get it loaded. And that's just the bag.

The bigger my bag, the more, stuff, I need to take. Two pistols, mags ear protection, targets, staple gun, chrony, drink, snack, tooth brush, compass, flint, first aid kit, purification tabs, ............. oh wait that's the bug out bag. Sorry, pistols, mags, ear protection, targets and staple gun, sometimes extra ammo.
