Joe im so sure you wouldn't have time to shoot him in the back cause im sure you wont be running to no bedoom to get your gun it will be on your person, just like most everyone here mine is always on me heck with running to the bedroom. Firing shots in the air Not a good idea,What goes up must come down and when it does better hope no innocent bystander under it. BTW shooting somebody in the back can surely land you in alot of trouble

well you're right most time im carrying even at home for just such a situation.

but if they got a gun in their hand i'll take my chances with the law after words.. now if they drop the gun and run away i'd let'em go but im not giving them any chance to turn around and shoot at me or try to shoot over their shoulder.

i dunno what i'd do in that situation till it happens but i know if the intruders got a gun in their hand i'll worry about whats legal later.

That guy was fortune to have not been killed. It sounds like it could of been alot worse for either. As for me with the broke foot I can run, I always have 1 of my guns within reach. I feel if you can't run you have to fight. Just glad it worked out for everyone.
