You can do both, one or the other, or believe it or not NEITHER? I usually register mine online, but have sent cards in also.

The warranty is on the gun, not the owner.

Do which ever is easier? Of course online is the quickest!!

You don't have to register for your gun to be covered. Even when you buy a used one, it's covered. If you ever have to use the warranty, they will get the info they need before they work on it.

 

I did mine online. However, they also got my info when I sent my gun back for repairs.

 

I just mailed mine. Hope that works.

Online makes it into the database a lot faster but they'll get all the same info when you call customer service about your issue.

I just registered my used PT709 online - very fast and now I'm in the datbase. Saves a stamp, given how the postage price will probably be going up expodentially!

I never have registered my warranty on my Taurus firearms, but it's not like they came with the card. All three of mine were used, but i don't think it matters anyway since the coverage follows the gun and not the owner.

 

I never mailed in the cards, I did all reg's online. When I called Taurus to order parts, I gave them the SN(s) of the gun(s) & my zip code and they could pull up my info from the system right away. However, they always verified my address & phone number to make sure these were correct/up to date.

 

I like the card but as said before both can't be beat

 

I don't like the card because I don't like to have my name address gun and gun serial number out for everyone to see. If I use the card, I'll end up putting it in an envelope.

actually i had a bad mag with my 709 and got them to send me one the day i got it so if you think there is a prob call taurus

 

Sending in the card or registering is a good idea.

 

I registered mine online. Then I tried to look up my gun on the site using the serial number search, site said it couldn't find a match. So did I register with the wrong number? (I have a pt140, I used the numbers on the "butt" of the slide. Three letters, five numbers...)

 

They're a little slow updating that information, and I don't think they get it from registration cards anyway.
