    9mm Ammo for Target shooting..

Just wondering what you guys use for either plinking or target shooting in the way of 9mm ammo. I just got a couple of boxes of Federal American Eagle FMJ 124g 9mm, anyone have any experience of this stuff??

I've shot quite a bit of American Eagle and Federal fmj in quite a few different calibers and have had no problem at all.

Just about all my centerfire range ammo is Federal Champion, and it runs fairly clean.

Respectable plinking and playing ammo (OK accuracy through my guns, not too dirty- but I grew up shooting Bullseye reloads so my idea of 'dirty' is a bit more liberal than some) and is a great source for good brass (I like Federal brass- not fond of their primers, but love their brass).

I agree, it's good stuff for the range. I've never had a problem with it.

You should be good to go. I have shot Federal, Blazer, PPU, Aquila, S&B, and Geco. I would reach for the Federal first.

I agree and will add Herter's along with freedom munitions reloaded. Hell for plinking, I've ran with some steel case also. In today's climate that might be all you can find?

That's good because we are limited to either Federal or S&B.. unless you reload, and I'm not planning to any time soon. Got three boxes of Gego .36 Spec Wadcutters too. My 669 appears to love these, and pleasantly surprising, they are pretty clean too..

Yeah those cartridges are good. I've only got a few boxes of Blazer left right now. There's no more 9mm to be had is there?

I prefer GECO, S & B, and Fiocchi myself, mostly cause it seems to have a bit more ummmp to me.
course in reality i only choot Olfarhors Munitions Company 115, and /or 124 grain for target practice in the 9 MM and 38 Thupper.
RWS was a really good range ammo as well but can't find it anywhere in these parts now.
