    Hornady critical defense

For home defense from my judge poly is Hornady at 750 fps safe for not over penetrating my walls?

    lots of variables!
    what type of wall?
    distance to the wall?
In a modern home, if you don't hit a wall stud I doubt if there are many lethal projectiles that will not penetrate a interior wall to be honest.

My pellet gun will pass through sheet rock. My nephew discharged his 4" Glock .40 in his bedroom. It passed through sheet rock, cut the 110v wall wire, out the exterior vinyl siding, into the garage vinyl siding, out the sheet rock, through the metal frame of the garage door and down range somewhere after that.
It you're really concerned with this issue you may want to think about using some concrete board and 1/2 plywood on the hallways. That or stack brick in the wall space in the hall walls.

Penetration is not the issue. Slowing a potentially lethal projectile down to the speed where it becomes essentially non-lethal is the real issue. I depend upon a shotgun for home defense for that reason.

Even with a shotgun firing birdshot, you can't guarantee that you're not going to have overpenetration. Olfarhors is right, there are many variables in this, and personally I would assume that everything is going to have the potential to overpenetrate. So, part of your home plan should include deciding where you would be able to safely fire your gun, from what angle, and what the worst directions to fire would be. That's not to say that you might not have to fire in that direction anyway, but you might be able to fix that or figure out something like reinforced board or wood or something else.

Unless you have kids in the house, I would never plan to go searching room to room. In my view, that makes me the target instead of the other way around. My plan is to hunker down in the bedroom, with a reinforced door, and anyone coming through that door is gonna have a real bad day. I figure I can hold them off from a fixed position, until the cavalry arrives or they decide they bit off more than they could chew and flee.
