While I worked all day yesterday my neighbors fished. Wished I could have joined them. Fresh Stone Crab claws, live blue crabs, live Florida lobster, and live shrimp.

I had a wonderful seafood dinner last night at no cost. Everything caught fresh that day and most of it still alive when I received it. Two nice size blue crabs, made a couple crab cakes and used the rest for stuffing. Stuffed a fresh Florida lobster with the remaining blue crab, mushrooms, and fresh shrimp. Also had 6 large stone crab claws, ate 3 hot with clarified butter and 3 cold with honey mustard sauce. Easily a $60.00 meal in any of the local restaurants. I was stuffed, but would do it all again if I could.
A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

The 2nd amendment is not about hunting or shooting sports, it is about the citizens of this country having the means to protect themselves and the states from the tyranny, oppression, and misery of an over powering government. Modern rifles are a means for the citizens to stand up to an over powering government.

I do this when i go to the Keys. My cousins house is off mile marker 9. An hour or so on the kayak gets me enough lobster, Hogfish and other seafood for that nights feast. Having worked underwater most of my working days, grubbing out some sea critters with a snorkel and speargun is as easy as walking down a supermarket idle.
Now i made, (form scratch) chicken pot pie tonight.

Homegrown blackeyed peas, corn on the cob, cornbread and onion slices. Onion was store bought.

When my daughter was young, she called it Spanettie.
If I spell it correctly, spaghetti.

Cod, sweet potato, and broccoli. Chocolate cake later, with pecans on top (homemade).

Smoked ham steak slightly charred in the fry pan then added butter and brown sugar to the pan and simmered for 10 minutes for a nice glaze, scalloped potatoes and green beans. Very tasty.
