    Well it was decent. Lol. Decent enough that the father in law who doesn’t eat turkey ate some of it.

    Everyone said that it was very moist and had a good flavor. Could tell it was applewood smoked too.

    When I was considering the acquisition of mine I read reviews and suggestions. The consensus was that the electric is for the lazier ( one who wants less fuss and muss )man and that's the one that I bought. This thread reminds me that I need to exercise it again soon before the snow really flies. Maybe this weekend.

    That is one reason I gave my single walled propane smoker to my neighbor. It is also a hassle to change out tanks and keep spares on hand.

    A double walled, insulated electric smoker gives you complete control on temperature and humidity, and you can put a timer on it also, and it will use less wood chips also. They are a larger initial investment, but save money in the long run, and less chance of ruined meat. The little electric insulated smoker I have had for 25 years is just great and there is virtually no guess work involved in cooking with it.
