    Air Fryer

Well I broke down and bought an air fryer. Someone I work with told me they saw a big one on special with QVC. Under $90 with tax and shipping. It is big enough to do a whole chicken.

Bought a 5# chicken and rubbed it down with a little butter and lots of spices. Cooked it for 30 minutes breast side down, flipped it over and did another 30 minutes. Wow was it good, better than most rotisserie chickens I have had.

Next up was a t-bone steak. Also came out great, 10 minutes on side one, 8 minutes on side two. Browned up nice and came out in between medium and medium-rare.

Third night was fresh mangrove snapper and french fries. The basket came with a separator, fries in one side for 15 minutes, added the fish and cooked another 15 minutes. Everything was great.

Think I am going to do wings in it next.

Modern rifles are a means for the citizens to stand up to an over powering government.

Well Yes, Yes I do. Close enough that I get the annual emergency evacuation procedures.

Around here fryers are 3-3.5 pounds and roasters are 4-5 pounds with most being in the 5 pound range.

Maybe we could merge this thread with the "don't eat squirrel brains" thread.

Most of mine are about 6#, my buddy gets the chicks and raises them then we have a big chicken killin party. We did 100 this year, 25 were mine. One chicken feeds all 6 members of my family, usually with some left.
