My former boss who is treating covid patients with it readily admits it's not a 100% "cure", although he has told me that for a majority of those patients they achieved a measurable improvement in their symptoms. Sometimes even a minor improvement can mean the difference between having to go on a vent or not, and you won't like your odds if that happens. Interestingly almost everything he had told me weeks ago was also confirmed by the official Henry Ford study. The main differences are that some people on the treatment died from the covid anyway, (NOT from the drugs) and none of his patients taking the drugs early on died. A couple of patients who did die despite the treatment didn't take the drug combo at first, choosing to wait until they were having severe symptoms and the drug combo seemed ineffective by then. They tested 2500 patients though, and he hasn't treated anywhere near that. Both he and the Henry Ford study agree on this point: If you're going to take the combo drugs it's best if you do it early on. So far he's not had any patients who chose to take the drug therapy regret their decision, but he has had a few patients or family members express regret over not doing it when they could have.

As for myself, I'm a a high risk category. I'm going to continue to do everything I can reasonably do to delay or avoid getting it in the first place. If and when it happens, I'm going to fight it with whatever tools are available at the time, based on information from medical professionals I personally know and trust to provide me with the best options and care regardless of someone else' politics.

Most of the research I've seen and heard about HCQ is that it actually works better as a preventative than a cure.

The local results here for vent patient's is currently slightly less than 50% survival chances, which is actually better than some other areas of the country.
You can tell a lot when the news media makes it a news story and hospital staff are videoed celebrating clapping, etc, when they finally discharge a surviving patient who was on a vent for covid. Plus sometimes people who do intially survive after being on a vent can die weeks later from complications. Even if the drug therapy doesn't work for everybody, the statistical fact that I've heard is the chances of dying as a result of the drug therapy is far less than the chances of dying from being on a vent. Statistically taking the drug combo is for most people (not ones with known heart conditions) much safer than merely waiting to see if you develop severe symptoms even if the therapy doesn't work.

Since the survival rate is about 99 percent, I'd say he stands a "chance" of survival. And to all you sanctimonious finger waggers talking about not wearing a mask, take a long walk on a short pier.

How the HCQ, Zpak and Zinc work is they dont cure the illness whatsoever.
HCQ is an anti-inflammatory that allows your lungs to keep functioning.
the Zpak is an antibiotic to stave off other opportunistic infections
the zinc boosts your immune system's ability to respond to foreign bodies.
They all work in concert to make it so your body can produce antibodies without you dying. Your own body is the curative in this situation.
The Israeli studies show that boosting one's Vit-D levels also helps boosting your immune system.
Now the real kicker is that there are herbal alternatives that will provide the same benefits as the triad combo though not as effectively.

He IS taking his drugs of choice. He posted to Twitter this morning (hell no, I'm not on Twitter) that he is taking the 3 drug cocktail mentioned in the previous post. Why do you have such a problem with it? Masks have been proven over and over again to be ineffective in preventing covid-19 infection. Yes, they are effective in preventing spread of covid if you are infected but it is useless in preventing acquisition of the disease.

I did say he was taking his drugs of choice, but I don't care one way or another. The problem I have is with his smugness, not wearing a mask around others, showing his unconcern for others-not knowing if he had the virus and could possibly be spreading it to others. So, short answer-In my opinion, he had no concern for others. No need to comment back on my opinion-it is my opinion and not yours.
