That's some real basic math there when it comes to a virus this aggressive and easy to spread. So is it safe to say that thousands of lives would have been saved had we moved quicker and with a great deal more efficiency and common purpose? Absolutely. Anyone would be a fool to try and argue, best just to change the subject and move on if you don't like it. How many thousands? Well, for that there is no way to know, but considering we are just a handful shy of 100k deaths as of today, I would say the number would be considerable.

All the above was captured from the CDC website moments ago. The official tally you are being told then the other number which is alot lower and the explanations come from the "about the data" link on the official tally page.
If this is on the CDC site, and we know PA and Colorado have been in the news for innacurate data(both higher than actual)....how many others have innacurate numbers? We know many cases may not be reported.

73,639... Ah yes, the "conservative" number (no pun intended). Let's say for a moment that that's accurate and the actual number of deaths that occurred in this country since Feb 28, the first known Covid-19 related death in this country. So in 3 months time, well over 70k deaths in this country, and we are FAR from being out of these woods. Is anyone really trying to say "only" here to that number? As if we can kick our feet up and relax because, hey, that's not that bad after all? My statement from above still stands, firmly. Just swap out the numbers, we still would have saved many thousands had we reacted sooner and with greater purpose and focus.

Thank God we have a president who took fast, decisive action before liberals wanted him to.

Not just before they wanted him to — he had the courage to take action in the face of their opposition. Despite their efforts to portray his actions as racist, premature, and outright unnecessary, U.S. President Trump did what he saw to be right to protect American lives, and then stood by Americans who’d been caught overseas, even to the point of using state department resources to bring them safely home — a move that many liberals are now mischaracterizing to pretend he allowed flights to continue.

I can't believe I have to say this again, but here we are.
The actual number of Covid-19 deaths will never be known
The actual number of Covid positive cases will never be known
Finding the morbidity or comorbidity rates of Covid can't be established because you can't even provide data so it would have to be a completely dreamed up guess. If Z=X/Y and both X and Y are not known, Z cannot be solved for.
Social distancing is a complete farce as well. The distance was established as being 2 arms length apart. aerosolized particulates from a cough or sneeze have been shown through actual testing to reach out to 21 feet. 6 foot would put you right at the maximum exposure range.
People have died FROM Covid-19 and also WITH Covid-19. WAY too many have also been listed as dying from covid merely for the states to get some sugar from Uncle Sammy moneybags. In short, they are defrauding the system and nobody bats an eye. Try that as an individual and you're looking at 3-5 years in a Fed Pen.

Your statement is wrong because what I am pointing out is all the numbers and stats are innacurate.
They based the actions taken on innacurate, false, and misleading data. Then as th hey revised the projections downward they doubled down on stupidity, and are afraid that no matter which choice it is will be wrong.
Now they are holding onto control, and the cure is worse than the disease.
You have so called experts saying both ways are correct, but most of the FACTS aren't backing up the continuation of the lockdowns. The majority of victims are all over 65, majority in nursing homes and/or have other issues that are major factors.
They truly have no idea about the actual number of those who are asymptomatic or had it but so mild it was unrecorded.
We are now putting more at risk due to economic issues, potential suicide, or lack of care for cancer, diabetes, or heart disease.
Those deaths dont matter, nor does the death of our economy as long as we save just one life from Covid19!
Fear is driving the focus on that one number and only that number yet you have a greater chance of being killed in a car wreck than die g of Covid19.

A few weeks ago (I think, can't recall exact date) Dr. Fauci was asked in an interview about how if things had been shut down earlier would it have saved lives, and he said yes. Some in the MSM immediately reported this as "If Trump had acted earlier lives would've been saved" which is NOT what Fauci said. According to Fauci in a follow up statement the truth is that when Dr. Fauci, Dr. Birx, the Surgeon General, and other Doctors and experts in the government went to Trump and said "We need to do A and B" etc, Trump did it. Trump listened to his supposed expert scientific advisors. Now of course it has come out that some in the CDC had differing opinions of how bad COVID-19 would be in the US and what approaches to take and when to take them, but the people in charge of reporting to the president said to him "We need to do ____" and Trump ordered it. For Trump to have acted earlier he would've had to ignore the advice he was given, and if he had been wrong he would've been criticized for that too.

It appears that “just doing my job” does not let a cop off the hook. Also see the links below. I’ve sent this to every business owner I could find, who has been busted for reopening, fined, etc.

DEPRIVATION OF RIGHTS UNDER COLOR OF LAW
    SUMMARY:

    • Section 242 of Title 18 makes it a crime for a person acting under color of any law to willfully deprive a person of a right or privilege protected by the Constitution or laws of the United States.
    • For the purpose of Section 242, acts under “color of law” include acts not only done by federal, state, or local officials within the their lawful authority, but also acts done beyond the bounds of that official’s lawful authority, if the acts are done while the official is purporting to or pretending to act in the performance of his/her official duties. Persons acting under color of law within the meaning of this statute include police officers, prisons guards and other law enforcement officials, as well as judges, care providers in public health facilities, and others who are acting as public officials. It is not necessary that the crime be motivated by animus toward the race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status or national origin of the victim.
    • The offense is punishable by a range of imprisonment up to a life term, or the death penalty, depending upon the circumstances of the crime, and the resulting injury, if any.

I didn't read the Cornell article, but if that's what it says, it is absolutely wrong. The Supremacy Clause grants the federal government supreme authority in the specific powers it granted, such as interstate commerce, creating federal courts, raising an army, etc. The states agreed they would grant the federal government supreme authority over these areas. The Bill of Rights were reminders to the federal government that its power was LIMITED. The Supremacy Clause gives zero authority over Constitutional rights. The federal government was never granted authority over personal rights, and the Bill of Rights specifically reminds the federal government it has no authority in those areas. Isn't it interesting that the federal government exercises authority over us that our states specifically withheld from it?
