    And so it begins

Last week when I went to the grocery store to find an absolute madhouse mob scene, completely empty shelves and quickly emptying shelves, and blank panic looks in the faces of hundreds, it occurred to me - this is going to get worse before it gets better. Right now there are stranded people all over the world with no way to get home. There are cruise ships desperately looking for a port and being turned away everywhere they try and dock. Countries are closing borders. Places people rely upon to eat and drink are closing up. Supplies are diminishing. It doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure out that there are people out there right now desperately trying to figure out how to get through this. Their job is shutdown, their money is tight, they need things. People get desperate when they need things. Real desperate. As the old saying goes, we are all only 9 missed meals away from total anarchy.

And then I see this: https://www.usatoday.com/story/money...up/5054436002/

Keep safe everyone. Regardless of when this blows over, the world is never going to be the same after, and my guess is a lot of horrible things are going to happen before we get there.

Not the zombie apocalypse yet and not going to be this time ether. Its when you can't get anything and all other services stop. Noting is "stopped" other than social distancing. Most people are not even doing that. Who puts the peaches in the can, TP on the roll... They are still working. What going to happen if the bimbo barista doesn't make coffee for people? Not da.

We will get through this, I'm sure we will see a lot of changes from the world we lived in prior to this virus. The planet has been through pandemics and World Wars before. I do like our chances of coming through this much better than a big rogue asteroid hitting the planet in a week.

On the other side of the coin, we had an attempted home invasion about 4 blocks from me this morning. Not any new information out on it since early this morning. https://www.kcbd.com/2020/03/16/dead...home-invasion/

Hoarding. And there’s no shortage, except at the retail level. Crazy ain’t it?

Hang onto your money, there are gonna' be a lot of things on sale for dirt cheap when it blows over and the stores are overstocked.

It's really a shame stores can't sell common sense.

Schools and colleges are closed here and a lot of people are being told to stay home from work. Oddly enough, this is all working in my favor. Folks that won't be needing their cars for awhile figure this is a good time to get work done on 'em. They're dropping them off with a "no rush, get to it when you can".
