    Arkansas' Constitutional Carry

So I just read an article that Arkansas is going to "Constitutional Carry" in July. Does anyone else know about this?

I've also read many forms of the definition, but I thought I'd see if the more experienced gentlemen on this forum could dumb this down for me, in very easy to understand terms.

Simple English is fine, just looking for different outlooks and variations.

    Thanks guys!

Straight out of Wikipedia - Constitutional Carry is a situation within a jurisdiction in which the carrying of concealed firearms is generally not restricted by the law. When a state or other jurisdiction has adopted Constitutional Carry, it is legal for law-abiding citizens to carry a handgun, firearm, or other weapon concealed with or without an applicable permit or license.

Greeting fellow Arkansan. Are you speaking of the new "Journey law"? This may help.

    Arkansas Carry

Notice the warnings though. I have read that if you don't have a license, you should contact and discuss this with an attorney to make sure you are good. Hope this helps!

Thanks PT, that's exactly what I was looking for. I was looking for the JOURNEY section more than the actual "carry" part.

    Great!

Arizona is constitutional carry and that is one of many reasons I live here. Though I am getting a ccw, just for traveling.

The link that PT1980 provided takes you to the Bill that puts too much authority in the hands of the State Police. Not one person who made a comment had anything postitive to say about the Bill. I read the Bill and I think it weakens the present system of having concealed carry.

The bill has been modified. It has been approved and sent to the Governor. This is the new version of the bill - only 1.5 pages. It deals with process of denial of a ccw permit.

This bill has nothing to do with the definition of Constitutional Carry which simply affirms the right to carry a firearm - concealed or open carry.
