They were very clear that no NRA certified instructor should be touching a student except in a case of a dangerous situation and said they certainly do not want him teaching under their banner!
    Julz,
You seem to be second guessing your position. People tend to do this after stressful situations wondering if they're making too big of a deal out of it. You and the other gal we're inappropriately touched. The class was uncomfortable with the instructors actions. Don't try to rationalize this into a non-issue. It happened, it effected you and others. You're beginning to fall into the victim mentality WHILE going for your CHL. You take the class so that you wont become a victim, don't allow the class itself victimize you.

QUOTE Instructor proceeds to go through several scenarios for us to determine whether or not deadly force would be acceptable.. QUOTE

I have been an instructor in Connecticut for over 30 years and this type of instructing is a huge NO NO. This is (in my opinion) legal advise. If you were to get in a scenario and told the police "My instructor told me I could shoot him" you just opened a very large can of worms. We are not allowed to interpret the law, we teach gun safety, marksmanship, types of guns, use of different guns etc. but never whether to shoot or not shoot someone. I would check you state regulations and go from there.

Best of Luck and congrats on your permit and I also hold a out of state Florida permit as I am a snowbird.

I have to wonder if that is why he agreed to a smaller class size in the 1st place ! You did the right thing !

If I were your husband.. I would've volunteered to be his prey.. When he got all handsy... I would've winked and said...

Baby.. You're turning me on... And winked again... Just to piss him off...

But as a martial arts instructor for women that have been raped.. You don't get all gropy on your demonstraties.. It obviously puts out the wrong vibe... Idk what this guy's issues are.. But it doesn't seem "right"

owning a gun doesn’t make you any more an armed citizen than owning a guitar makes you a musician, in both cases, practice makes near perfect!!.

The guy needs to be investigated. If your friend got the same vibe it is not just you and there are others before you who have felt the same way. An investigation of this pervert should include interviews with prior students. If you know the older lady's name, you may also try to contact her and ask for her to provide a statement to accompany your complaint.

If this guy is doing this in public it may just be a small indicator of what he might do in his off time. He, at a minimum, needs to know that others are watching.

I'm so sorry you and your friends had to endure this uncomfortable and awful experience. You said something about this guy owns a farm of some sort and teaches his classes there. He probably found a way to bring in some extra money and discovered young women attend allowing him to ad lib some of his classes. The red hatters obviously did not have the same experience and are obviously not nearly as self informed as you are about what that class is supposed to be about. Your story is creepy enough to make me wonder about the possibility that he somehow records these sessions. I don't mean to put a more creepy notion in your head than you already have, but as someone above stated along the lines of 'if it looks like a duck...'

You seem very level headed and you took the time to consider the possibility of being overly sensitive. I truly hope this is the last you have to deal with in this matter and that the follow-up from the groups you've informed puts your mind at ease once and for all. I commend you for the responsible way in which you've handled this. You're quite a gal.

That is bizarre to have a CCL instructor lay hands on a student. If it was some form of hand to hand combat training, it would be different. When I took my class, the descriptions of scenarios were completely adequate.

I do not allow others to lay hands on my wife without her permission. Period.

Actually, from reading the OP's post. It is sexual harassment and is grounds for him having his State approval taken away!
