I never knew why people were so concerned about printing until now. What is the law in Florida?

Not sure of FL, but I seem to recall that in TX it could have been construed as brandishing. That's history there now with open carry enacted. Heck...even ILLinois is OK with printing.

I carry everything occasionally, but typically it's a...

RIA 10mm HC and a PT740 backup, or...
The PT740 and a TCP backup, or, when it's revolver day...
A 617 and 85 Poly backup. All carried cross-draw, or in the pocket when possible.

Because some of think that concealed means concealed, not some half way* 'technically' concealed, and figure if you are going to do something, it's worth doing it right.

There used to be an issue in Florida, but I think the law got modified/amended a couple years ago to be less restrictive for gun owners after heavy criticism from folks getting harassed (and arrested) after accidentally showing their gun while doing something like reaching for an item on a high shelf and their shirt riding up. Now they basically tell folks to mind their own business and grow a pair... not every guy with plumber's butt and a 9mm in his crack is a terrorist.

790.053 Open carrying of weapons.—(1) Except as otherwise provided by law and in subsection (2), it is unlawful for any person to openly carry on or about his or her person any firearm or electric weapon or device. It is not a violation of this section for a person licensed to carry a concealed firearm as provided in s. 790.06(1), and who is lawfully carrying a firearm in a concealed manner, to briefly and openly display the firearm to the ordinary sight of another person, unless the firearm is intentionally displayed in an angry or threatening manner, not in necessary self-defense.

One of the main reasons to stay concealed in many public areas where people have an abject fear of firearms is illustrated by the 2010 LAS incident at Costco when a man was killed by police as his gun was visible while shopping. Here's the followup from 2012 when the family dropped the lawsuit against LE for wrongful death:

I have a rotation. I guess you would call my primary carry gun my Springfield XD Mod2. I bought it a couple of years ago to replace my Taurus PT145. I carry it in an Aliengear OWB holster. I also carry my Citadel Officer 1911 in a leather holster. I manage to work in my Taurus 617, that I carry in an Aliengear OWB.
