    Ruger AR-7

A question that I think I know the answer to, but with all the crazy laws in different state was wondering this:

Would a Ruger AR-7 or similar be considered a concealed weapon when the barrel and firing mechanism is stored in the stock? There is space for ammo storage in there also.

Am thinking no, but any other thoughts?

I didn't know Ruger was making the AR-7. Last I heard, it was Henry.

Ruger is about the 5th or 6th company to produce the AR-7. Why they think it will be a winner this time around, I think they are just betting on their name selling it! There is just no there, there!

Texas only regulates the carry, concealed or open, of handguns. There are no regulations on the carry of long guns. Doesn't mean you couldn't get hassled though.

I don't believe Ruger produces or ever has produced the AR7 or any variant of it at any time. They do sell a few breakdown model in different calibers but nothing that remotely resembles and a AR7.

Don't feel bad. I'm retired, too, taking care of a wife on the liver transplant list who was just diagnosed with diabetes, possibly brought on by her failing liver. I get confuzzled at times myself.

I originally bought mine to take on motorcycle trips. It was okay, a Charter Arms version, but I sold it. My ex SIL wanted it bad and I didn't.

Under Ohio law it cannot be considered a CCW as it is considered a long gun.

I do have a late model Henry and it works very well.
