If she just wants to go with something less recoiling, any of the .32 Revolvers are good. The Ruger SP101 in .327 Fed Mag is probably the best of the concealable DA revolvers, but the Charter Arms and Taurus snubbies in .32 H&R Mag are good too. With a modern revolver in .327 Fed Mag or H&R, you can run .32 H&R Mag with a 85 grain XTP and get 1,000 fps with very little recoil. If you reload you can push 100-115 grain bullets at 1,000 fps with some recoil, but greater impact out of those snubbies.

You could try and get the barrel ported ,that would take some of the recoil out

Yep, the wife says I am slow to respond to things.
Battle of Wanat: 10 years ago last 13 July, 1LT Brostram was killed in combat killing the last enemy combatant in the outpost. The LT went to the point of decision and made the difference that turned the tide of the battle. The original investigation found the Bde Cmdr, the Bn Cmdr and the Co Cmdr at fault for dereliction of duty. If you want to see what a sarcastic silver star citation reads like, pull up the company commander's silver star.

OK, somebody put a stake in the heart of this thing and kill it for good.
