    Any 709 Aftermarket recoil spring sets available ? Any!!

    Was wondering If any one know of any aftermarket recoil springs rod set out the for the 709, No luck with Galloway, Lakeline or Wolf , does any one know if the recoil springs are the same as the G2s? I have not held one so I do not know ,how about any Glock flat wound springs ?

    You may have to find a gun with a similar recoil spring and see if it will work. I'm not even sure that Taurus makes the 709 anymore, I'm pretty sure they don't, and so you're likely not going to find much interest in anybody making such a thing.

    If you can't find a new spring your spring will twist apart with 2 sets of pliers then match up some springs

    The 709 spring assy. is different from all others

    According to Taurus from a few years back you can use the 709 or 740 recoil spring. I have spares for both. Also have one that is made incorrectly with wrong size button too large to fit muzzle 9mm (it's 9.25mm) recess thus not allowing spring to compress to barrel notch. If your existing assembly still has the button intact you could possibly use this one. PM me if interested or to discuss.
