Taurus announced that they bought Heritage Mfg of Opa Locka, FL. Although they joined the Taurus family, they will continue to operate as a stand alone brand. They make a neat single action western style revolver. Maybe we need to add a new firearm section in addition to Taurus and Rossi?

I've looked at some of the Heritage single action six shooters and I've thought about getting one.
My best friend has one in .22 Long, it was fun to shoot and not a bad gun when it comes to accuracy,
it is a nice revolver to put holes in those dreaded tin cans. I've seen them in .357 Magnum and I saw
one chambered for .45LC/.410 at one gun store. The ones I've seen run under $ 400.00. If I see
one chambered for .45LC only, it might be going home with me.

Taurus: Model 66 4"
Judge 6.5" 2.5 Cylinder
Model 617 2"
Raging Bull .44 Magnum 6.5"
Model 851 2"
PT-92 AF
For the money, they are a decent, reliable SA handgun. My 3.5” bird head shoots all the .22 ammo I feed it. Cheap bulk stuff in any flavor has not been an issue. In fact, the 22s rejected by my S&W 22A or my Ruger 10/22 will almost always fire in my little Heritage.

Hopefully production quality will improve like when Kahr took over Auto Ordnance.![]()

I saw Heritage .22lr single action 6 shot on sale today for $149, thinking one might come home with me.

Found mine in a pawn shop in December, in the box with both cylinders out the door for $90 shoots great. Best part is the grAndkids love it also. Definitely a cheap form of shooting education. If I can trip over another, as cheap, I would add a second. The 22mag is also a great plus for a little varmint chasing.

I bought my 22LR/22Mag about 12 years ago for about $150.00. It has always been a fun little plinker, fairly accurate, and as previously noted, eats whatever you feed it. I'm getting my wife a .357 for her birthday to go with a Rossi .357 lever gun.
