    Virus Scanner Prompt?

I have entered this website twice via Google in the last couple days, and each time I click the sites link to enter, it automatically launches some sort of "virus scanner" software. This particular program gives me an error message that I "might be infected" (or something similar). Then it starts mimicing the "My Computer" as if it is scanning my files for viruses.

Obviously, it is a hoax, but I imagine if it was left running, would install some sort of virus on my machine. This has only happened when trying to enter taurusarmed.net from Google.

You should look into this immediately, as there may be something harmful attached to your web address that could harm the users systems.

Also, after each time this has happened, I have come back through Google and entered with no problems... so who knows.

    Just FYI.

You have spyware located on "YOUR" computer. Clean your browser and try again, or get a program such as window washer and run it daily, also you get get Crap Cleaner (search for a download it's FREE) and it works great.

Let it clean your computer out good and you should no longer have any problems.

I also suggest you run a good virus scanner and spyware scanner.

+1 on both points. CCleaner is an excellent program. I also saw a drastic reduction in spyware when I switch from M$ Internet Explorer to Mozilla Firefox. As there are some sites that will not display correctly in FF, I still use IE from time to time, but not very often.

Go to www.cnet.com and you can download the aforementioned program or Spybot Search and Destroy as well as Ad-Aware in order to stop these intrusions. The downloads are free.

I'm getting the same thing from time to time. Spybot Seek and Destroy, Adaware, Anti-Maleware, and Hijack This, and AVG all come up with nothing. Gonna have to do some research on this one.

To the best of my knowledge, the forum is free of any crap. I've never had an issue going to the site but I also use my saved link almost all the time.

There are no pop-ups associated with this site. They are coming from somewhere else.

I have not had any here, but on other random sites. Once the scan window is closed the link can be clicked normally.
