    Non-identifiable legacy parts numbers

Please remedy the non-identifiable legacy part-number issue!

Taurus Customer Service does not have access to the parts info for my 2008 24/7 Pro DS DuoTone, leaving me with a $400 paper weight for now.

Can't you just send the gun to Taurus for repair? It has a life time warrenty regardless of ownership. I know it will cost you to ship it to them, but it is better than the paper weight idea.

Can you send in the part in question. I would be cheaper than sending in the whole firearm.

Or just send the whole thing in. Yeah shipping will suck but it doesn't cost all that much in the grand scheme of things. Just my two cents. Good luck getting it all sorted out.

In my grand scheme of things (1 paycheck providing for 5 people, medical bills, etc.), it DOES cost all that much.

The picture I sent them should have been enough. Sending the part won't help identification.

Do they not know what parts go in their own guns?

Another suggestion is that they disassemble a 2008 24/7 Pro DS and look for themselves. I am sure they have one around, somewhere.
