Have owned my SS version in 2002. It's a real tack driver. Had the Win. 62 & sold it years ago & regretted it. After buying the Taurus 62, the pain is all gone![]()
Looking at a new .22 M62R pump. Anybody out there got an opinion on this model? I realize these have been discontinued by Taurus. Will that affect the lifetime warranty? Hope I won't need it.

I have the Rossi marked original M-62C clone of the "Winchester M-62" that I bought in the mid 1980's for my kids to learn on.
It's a great little piece that's given over 20 years of dependable service and is my favorite .22 in my rifle rack.

My Rossi Model 62 was purchased new in 1989 and to date has been extra satisfactory in reliability and accuracy. Two grand children have learned to shoot on it.I carry it as my "woods gun".Handy, light and accurate.

Get it--
I to ohave the Rossi Model62-- Bought it for about $150 from a coworker and it looked almost new (95%+)--
Great fun rifle, and I really bought it on a whim-- I screwed up and bought about 10 boxes of .22L instead of .22LR on a clearance sale for less than $1.00 a box-- I bought all he had left (I think like 11 boxes)--- My Marlin wouldn't fire them right--
Anyway, Western Auto used to have a SS 62 (Taurus or Rossi not sure) when I was a kid that I used to pine over-- never got it, and when this one came along- -I jumped--
It is a keeper-- I will actually probably keep it and pass my MArlin 60 to my youngest son (it was my first gun I actually owned)--
Good, cheap, all American fun!!!

I have had the Rossi 62 Gallery (the little short version) since 1983, and it has had less than 500 Rounds fired thru it, as my oldest son lost the Tube insert many years ago. I recently replaced the tube and we are ready to go. I am trying to find the long barreled Model 72 WMR version, great classic rifles.
