American Rifleman magazine: Rossi matched pair single shot pistol review

Something new that Rossi has come up with.

    Rossi Matched Pair Single-Shot Pistol

Since this is a pistol and we do not have a board for a Rossi pistol this got put here. It's kind to the matche pair shotgun/rifle combos.

I like the concept, but it's been tried before without much success. Handgun hunters have too many choices for a single shot 45/410-22 to be a good seller. A 454Casull/410 shotshell may have been a better choice to appeal to hunters. A second barrel in a rifle caliber would have also been a better choice than 22. How about 22WMR, or 223, or even 30-30? If you're going to compete with TC, jump on it with both feet.

As goofy as the concept may seem a lot of gun companies are offering just this sort of thing and higher prices.
This has been true for the last year or so and is still going on.

There is a small group who like single shot pistols of this nature.

Hi, does anyone here know how to disassemble the trigger? Mine is too heavy for a precision use at 50 yard. Got a 2x6x32mm Bushnell Trophy on it, and I think the only matter is trigger pull (2,2 kg).

Welcome to the forum. I'm hoping someone will respond to your query. Not sure anyone here has done anything to the trigger but they might have.

Maybe they'll go there. Or just offer a bull barrel blank!

The article has the gun listed as weighing in at "5 pounds".

That seems a tad heavy for this single shot break action pistol.

I'd expect it to be more like 3 pounds...what say you?

Maybe the weight is including both barrels?

I'll try to get a weight on mine as soon as possible.
