    Rossi Ranch Hand rifle/pistol Bee...

I have a 45c Ranch Hand and my friend has one in .357. We had a Rifle/pistol Bee (Like a quilting Bee). I have a CD from Stever Gunz on assembly and modifying Rossi 92's. Usig that we slickend up out pistols. They are a booger to take apart compared to my Marlin Lever. We got them sa slick as butter. Only one part left over. We will take them to a range soon and give a report to this thread.
    Fun Evening.

I've been leaning towards a Ruger Blackhawk, but the mare's leg might fit my needs better & be considerably cheaper than a Blackhawk.
While I haven't had a chance to fire my Ranch hand I am more impressed with it than what I had thought I would be. It is very much a nitch gun, too small to be a rifle, too large to be a pistol, but I felt I wanted one from the first day I heard about them coming to market. When I came cross one in the .357mag/.38spl for $349 I jumped on it.
As for a short barrel shotgun, it is hard to beat its ability for protection, very versatile with so many different ammo choices. And it won't break the bank to buy, I went with a nickle Charles Daly short 12 gauge.
Ruger Blackhawk is a nice pistol, I had one in a 45lc, but just couln't get into the single action shooting. I now have the Ruger Redhawk in .44mag, it is SA/DA and the 44mag is about the same cost for ammo as the 45lc. The 44mag is a pleasant hand full to fire, it is very controllable unlike my .500 Taurus which can be abusive.

FWIW, back when I purchased my RH 357/38, there was also the option of the 44mag for the same price. Sometimes ya just gotta shop hard and persistent.
